Teng Joon Lim

Professor, University of Toronto

Prof. Lim obtained the Bachelor of Engineering degree from the National University of Singapore in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree from Cambridge University in 1996. From September 1995 to November 2000, he was on the research staff of the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), a research centre funded by the Singapore government. At the time of leaving the CWC, he was the leader of the Digital Communications strategic research group.

He joined the University of Toronto in December 2000 and is currently an Assistant Professor and Bell Canada Junior Chair for Telecommunications at the ECE Department of the University of Toronto. He is also the secretary of the IEEE Toronto Communications Chapter and has held the position of technical program chair and vice-chair for the 7th IEEE Singapore International Conference on Communications Systems (ICCS) and the 2005 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference.
