Peter TarleArchitect and Technical Advisor, Nortel Networks
Peter is currently an Architect and Technical Advisor within Nortel's Enterprise Multimedia Systems group, working in the area of rich media services and advanced SIP architectures. He is also working with the University of Waterloo on several Nortel-sponsored research projects as an Adjunct Professor. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and has been with Nortel since 1981. Convergence and Collaboration in Enterprise Networks Business enterprises are undergoing a fundamental shift toward converged multimedia networks, while innovations in communication models are being introduced at an ever-increasing rate. Peter will present an overview of the network transformations that are underway, including the convergence of telephony and IP networks. He will also discuss emerging communication technologies in the areas of application convergence and rich media collaboration. |
