Kamran BahramiSystems Engineer, MD Robotics
Kamran Bahrami currently works in space flight operations at MDA Space Missions (formerly known as MD Robotics) in Brampton, Ontario. His areas of expertise include spacewalk procedures and support of flight hardware. Kamran graduated from the University of Toronto Mechanical Engineering program in 1997 and the International Space University in France Master of Space Studies program in 2000. Kamran’s professional background includes Flight Operations at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (IMAGE Satellite), and was a Design Engineer at Pratt & Whitney Canada (aircraft turbofans). During his university days Kamran participated in the U. of T. Solar Racing Team. Mr. Bahrami's presentation will outline Canada's involvement in space robotics, touching base on some of the history as well as current projects utilizing advanced robotics and space-borne sensings systems for on-orbit servicing of satellites and planetary missions to explore the Moon and Mars. |
